Look for a carpenter with proven experience, good customer reviews and is fully insured.  Ensure you view a portfolio of previous work to determine they are trustworthy.  I am happy to provide references from customers, on request.

Contact DW Construction, Carpentry and Bespoke Furniture by phone or email giving details of your project, with any useful photographs or approximate measurements, location and potential timescales, then we can discuss the next steps.

The cost of bespoke furniture depends very much on size, materials and design. Following a site survey, I will provide you with a detailed quote, based on your requirements. Our quotations also include delivery and installation.

Following your initial enquiry, I will get an understanding about your ideas and requirements.  If you wish to take the project further, we can arrange a site visit where I will undertake a survey, taking precise measurements and checking for uneven walls or services.  Following the site visit, a quotation will be sent to you with the costs and timescales outlined.  If you then wish to proceed, we will design and create your piece of bespoke furniture and contact you once we are ready to arrange an installation date.

You are welcome to visit the workshop in Mayfield, by appointment.  It is one of the most effective ways to understand the workmanship that goes into my bespoke furniture and kitchens and for us to discuss your requirements in more detail.

Check whether delivery and installation is included in the quotation. Also find out which materials are used for the cabinet carcase materials (plywood versus MDF), the construction method (in-frame versus overlay).  A cheaper quote built on cheaper materials or a narrower scope is not a saving.
